Maasai Village

As we dropped from the hills west of Arusha to the Serengeti. There are spectacular views of Maasai herdsmen and villages ringing the wide grassland valleys. We were greeted by a extravagant welcome dance that we all participated in. Then we went off in male/female pairs to individual family huts to learn the inner family culture.

















The men are splendid and the women gorgeous. We were challenged to some jump contests but didn't stand a chance.















We also had a short visit to the 3, 4, 5, and 6 year old school







After the school visit I bought 2 Maasai blankets and the chief's son took me into his family hut and dressed me as a Maasai Warrior?
