Arusha, Tanzania

We visited the market and the cultural center in Arusha near Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru in Tanzania. There was a major buying binge of Tanzinite stones and jewelry among several of the group at the cultural center. The rest of us enjoyed the quite nice art at the art gallery that was designed along the lines of a miniature Guggenheim.





Bed and coffin shops are in high demand with the HIV numbers up near 30% in all the countries of East Africa.
