After I left the Maasai village in the hills above the Serengeti I could see a long black line from north to south across the plain. As we drew closer I realized I was seeing the migration. it stirred something deep inside.
Mariki tells me that the Zebras lead the migration. They have the knowledge of where the water is, and it is the Zebras that can smell the change in the rain. The Hyenas were watching there chances on the edges of the trail.
